Hey D-Gen'rs!
Anyone wanna join 'Y Camp Challenge' ? I know Christmas party is on 12th December 09. Those in the Ignyte planning team and those who want/confirmed performing for Christmas Party, you don't have to sign up for this. However, those who will be free and not involved with Christmas party, do consider signing up for this YMCA camp!
Victor's organising it. So, at least someone familiar right?? ^^

Now we have 9 members! (seeing that Jasmine finally turns up)

HAUEN HAS GONE OFF TO HER HOMETOWN, MALAYSIA, AND WILL BE BACK NEXT YEAR, THE FIRST WEEK OF JANUARY.
Let's all wish her a safe trip back to her home and another safe trip again when she comes back!
CHRISTMAS PARTY
Like Lily mentioned, even though we made mistakes, it was still great overall.
Even though some of you still think that the whole performances was bad due to mistakes (even I also think so) whats important is that we all enjoyed ourselves!
Didn't we laugh, joke and have merry chat with one another all the time?
In order not to repeat mistakes again, let's all learn from our past experiences and be more confident when we go on stage again.
Now its time to relax!

Just to be fair, i dont want to hear any complaints.
It is our responsiliablility(mwoyah? how to spell?) to pay for what we have incurred so far.
Since the string broke(HOW THE HELL THAT HAPPENS?!), we all have to pay equally.
There are some changes and i hope you all dont mind.
Xuehui,Thivya,Hauen,Diyana - Pay $28.80 each
Jasmine,Rachel,Carlo,Yew Kim,Joyce- Pay $25 each
Lily-$10
Total- $250
(some people are not happy with the altered prices. So i changed the people. $5 is too much is it?)
SO it is fair enough. I dont think it is fair, based on how many times each member came for practice before it happened. so..
THE PAYMENT IS DUE THIS SUN~!

Those who never went for practice this last 5 days had to pay $20(diyana,yewkim,joyce,carlo,jasmine)
Those who went for practice this last 5 days had to pay $32(thivya,hauen,xuehui,anymore?)
Lily only needed to pay $10.
Payment is due this sat. If you want to pass me the money, SMS me!

last set of reminder D-Gen! *Sorry for reminding so many times, it is for just in case people remember the wrong thing earlier or never read the email.*
1. Please be at YWCA Ballroom level 2 by 2pm. Do take note it's YWCA (MHI) not YMCA.
2. Fantasie, the logistics team wants Rachel to get on stage and play it.
3. This is the song order :
For slot one (when the party starts):
1) The Lord of the Dance
2) Disney's magic Kingdom
For slot 2 (after vid or hip hop, i forgot)
1) Sukiyaki (Hau En conductor)
2) The magic of Christmas (Lily conductor)
3) Fantasie
4. Attire :
Please wear the band tee, jeans and covered shoes.
5. 6.45pm, it's the closing ceremony and all the performers are required to get on stage. After Yew Kim and Joyce's speech, we will be following behind the MHI hip-hop team and get on stage.
6. Items that will be loaned to us :
1 backup stand
1 conductor stand
1 bells stand
1 stand for flute
3 stands for marimba
Total : 7 stands.
an keyboards stand for the bells.

PS: Victor will be treating us all for Dinner at 5.30pm tomorrow (Friday) so everyone, please come because Victor will be sad if we don't come and eat. He's treating us as a "thank you" for our hard work practicing the songs for christmas party.

About Youth D-Gen
This is an official blog of the
Youth D-Gen.
HISTORY
Youth D-Gen, basically known as Youth Deaf Generation, was officially formed
independantly in the Year 2008. YDG is a percussion band and led by a 29 year old conductor-cum-percussionist Miss
Lily Goh who had made many appearances for her performances in Singapore, an
overseas trip performance in Thailand (more information to be collected later)
YDG made its first appearance at MHI (Ministry of Hearing Impaired) Christmas
Party last year, 2007. At that time YDG was not yet officially formed and was
initially named Yukian.
In the band, there are 8 young players named Er Xue Hui, Jasmine Kok, Neoh Yew Kim, Joyce Neo, Thivya, Diyana, Rachel Koh, Carlo Paa and Yew Hau En, all aged 13 - 19 respectively. YDG's main purpose is to
develop the youths' talents and spread their passion for music to the society
despite their hearing loss.
