Hey D-Gen'rs!

Anyone wanna join 'Y Camp Challenge' ? I know Christmas party is on 12th December 09. Those in the Ignyte planning team and those who want/confirmed performing for Christmas Party, you don't have to sign up for this. However, those who will be free and not involved with Christmas party, do consider signing up for this YMCA camp!
Victor's organising it. So, at least someone familiar right?? ^^

HAUEN HAS GONE OFF TO HER HOMETOWN, MALAYSIA, AND WILL BE BACK NEXT YEAR, THE FIRST WEEK OF JANUARY.

Let's all wish her a safe trip back to her home and another safe trip again when she comes back!

CHRISTMAS PARTY

Like Lily mentioned, even though we made mistakes, it was still great overall.

Even though some of you still think that the whole performances was bad due to mistakes (even I also think so) whats important is that we all enjoyed ourselves!

Didn't we laugh, joke and have merry chat with one another all the time?

In order not to repeat mistakes again, let's all learn from our past experiences and be more confident when we go on stage again.

Now its time to relax!

Just to be fair, i dont want to hear any complaints.
It is our responsiliablility(mwoyah? how to spell?) to pay for what we have incurred so far.
Since the string broke(HOW THE HELL THAT HAPPENS?!), we all have to pay equally.
There are some changes and i hope you all dont mind.

(some people are not happy with the altered prices. So i changed the people. $5 is too much is it?)

last set of reminder D-Gen! *Sorry for reminding so many times, it is for just in case people remember the wrong thing earlier or never read the email.*

1. Please be at YWCA Ballroom level 2 by 2pm. Do take note it's YWCA (MHI) not YMCA.

2. Fantasie, the logistics team wants Rachel to get on stage and play it.

3. This is the song order :
For slot one (when the party starts):
1) The Lord of the Dance
2) Disney's magic Kingdom

For slot 2 (after vid or hip hop, i forgot)
1) Sukiyaki (Hau En conductor)
2) The magic of Christmas (Lily conductor)
3) Fantasie

4. Attire :
Please wear the band tee, jeans and covered shoes.

5. 6.45pm, it's the closing ceremony and all the performers are required to get on stage. After Yew Kim and Joyce's speech, we will be following behind the MHI hip-hop team and get on stage.

6. Items that will be loaned to us :
1 backup stand
1 conductor stand
1 bells stand
1 stand for flute
3 stands for marimba
Total : 7 stands.

I have even added informations on the "About" link at above. Ok when u read that, i do sound like advertising it *sweat*

and hmm, i even thought of changing the blog url into "www.youthdgen.tk". Oh, that domain name "tk" is just like "com" "net" but only that its not those popular domains which you have to pay by Paypal. That domain "tk" - check it out at http://www.dot.tk/en/pageA00C1A.html

is a free user website, just like freewebs.com. Doesn't requires payment. Okay, am i confusing you? Simply put, the domain "tk" is a FREE domain website. So our url will look alot cooler :D instead of a www.youth-d-gen08.blogspot.com, we have www.youthdgen.tk. Look cool erh?

STOP! This is just another random suggestion. You can choose not to follow what I said. I sound quite demanding on things LOL. Let's just stick with blogspot for now. When the right time have come, we might want to consider that suggestion, if you want as well (:

Dear Almighty Father in Heaven,

We pray for Hau En and Joe Eng who are taking 'O' level tomorrow. Do guide them with your Wisdoms, Grace and Love so that they can do well with their peace hearts. Do help them as well to remember what they have learnt so far from the lessons in school. Relieve their stresses, worries and tenses.
We pray for Diyana who is retaking exams with your Wisdoms , Grace and Love. Relieve her stress and worry so that she can do well with her peace heart. Teach her with your Words so that she can think more positive.
We also pray for Lily who is busy recently. Relieve her tireness, stresses and worries. Give her your strength.

We also pray for some of our tasks to be done as soon as possible.

IF we print dri-fit white polo shirt :
1. TPY - the cost will be $28
2. Novena - we will check next time,but it will be like $10+ like that if we print 30 tees
3. Telok Kurau - I've sent an email to Ms Kwek, I'm waiting for her reply
4. My friend's friend - The cost will be $12, provided we order like 30+ tees, since we are ordering only 9 tees, my friend has to check again.

people i forgot to tell you : the final decision of the shirt design will be based by majority because everyone has different opinions. Since most of you(around 6 or 7 people) said you are fine with anything, it will be taken that you are fine with the design. If you decide to change your mind, do leave a tag in the tagboard.

Schedule Practice @ VSA + Things to say

Hello D-gen members!

Just to have a gentle remind for all of you.

D-gen has been officially a band which is under Y-Arts (which means Youth Arts) from YMCA. Total members are 9 including Lily.
This year,Lily will be helping us and training us. However,next year she will not be in Singapore so D-gen band will depend on us. So we will try our best to learn more,alright? We can DO!

Regarding the practices,Lily will update me by tomorrow.
Most likely, the practices can start from next wed or thurs. (Lily's message)
Next week? Or this week? I am not sure. I will let you guys know. Sorry about that!

The 5 confirmed songs for those who will be performing on 7 Dec for MHI Christmas Party [At YWCA level 2] are:

I am not the one who asked you to use "Deaf Generation" on our shirts. I only agreed with that idea. And I am sorry for having high expectations about the shirts because I didn't want to repeat my mistakes about the design on PiBe. I didn't know anything much. Now I just want to check with you about the details. Anyway,it is better to email about the shops to lily and check with her - compare the prices. If you found the shop selling the collars shirt which is cheaper than $15 per,then choose it. (I know it is hard to find it as all the prices of collars shirt from different shops are quite expensive.) If not, use the round collar tee shirt (not PiBe shirt texture?) which is cheaper. It cost about $10 if I am not wrong. Change the words 'Deaf Generation' of the picture to 'D-gen'; perhaps,same font and do remember to change the style of - . If we find the better font for this picture,we will change. As for the quote,please remember to make it one straight line. And as for font,we also will change if we find the better font. Oh yes,do you mind if u email me the photoshops of both picture and quote. Thanks!
PS: I did not say I like to put the pictures in our bottom of waist or whatever but to suggest. (=.=)

Regarding about Sukiyaki,the songs from 3 members are different, I guess so. Try to photocopy one of different scores. Let me know if you don't understand. Thanks!

new front design

sorry, with our current front design + black shirt, the printer said the shirt will be 40 DOLLARS -.-ll
so the cheapest to keep it to $15 is to have it plain and simple and white.
no choice, since our budget is $15, and joyce can only wear black or white shirts for 100 days, till like feb 2009 like that. and also, the printer told me that once we have a black shirt, the colours are very limited because of some kind of printing they are going to use.

Hence, here are the new sample designs, Dont worry about the font on the front design, we will go to the printing shop again and ask them to give us the nice font which we saw :

EDIT : one shop told us that this tee will cost $28 so we are gathering more info, but if really no choice, we have to go for one without collar which will be $10, it is quite hard to keep to our budget. We are trying to look for a printer who will let us print collared tee and both sided for $15. We may not be using dri-fit material anymore as it is expensive, we may be using cotten.
